We are looking for a Senior Manager or Merchandising to drive our China Wholesale Merchandising. This role is located at our Greater China headquarters in Shanghai.
For Converse merchants, everything begins and ends with the consumer. The Converse merchandising team obsesses our consumer needs and are industry leaders in creating the right product mix in the marketplace across the globe. They blend art with science to bring the Converse vision to life in our physical and digital retail environments to ensure a premium category consumer experience.
In this role, you will lead the apparel and footwear merchandising team and collaborate with the regional product creation teams to drive profitable, relevant, consumer-right assortments. As part of the global merchandising team you will see beyond the current trends and identify what’s next to deliver the right assortment to the right place, at the right time, and at the right price.
Focus on China consumer insights and drive assortment planning and Game Plan process in Converse China Organization
Serve as merchandising expert. Connect with REGIONAL/GLOBAL product teams to adopt Geo/Territory relevant assortment.
•Execute Territory merchandising strategies that drive growth opportunities and product differentiation across all retail formats.
•Drive profitable, marketplace relevant assortments, expressing brand vision to elevate consumer experience in all wholesale doors from Merchandising perspective
•Enable sales distribution plans (account expansion, account penetration, account profitability) and other retail metrics (capacity, sell through, inventory turns, etc.)
•Close cooperation with DTC team in adopting and executing seasonal line plan
Managing team of 2 people :
Actively participate in cross functional activities in game plan process
•Collaborate with Planning COE/Sales to drive integrated assortments and optimize the seasonal offering.
•Own the development of presentation tools for use by sales and brand marketing.
•Ensures seasonal assortments are optimized at retail via space and fixture planning – cooperation with Retail Planning team ( Planning COE)
•Finalize all assortment plans across retail formats to gain resolution against issues on tiring, flow, pricing and distribution.
Delivery against financial targets & results
•Hit financial, futures, and merchandising targets.
•Drive consumer right pricing strategy that support business growth and profitability targets
•Drive financial results for Converse China organization from Merchandising POV – close cooperation with Merchandising Operations team
