These are full-time positions, based in Sydney, reporting to the Multi-Brand Planning Manager. The mission of the Rebel Retail Planner is to drive productivity against Merchandising aligned assortments through assignment of depth by material, with focus on depth in key styles; you will engage cross-functional partners to deliver support for and execution against assortment level financial plans, and you will proactively manage and measure the business to drive sustainable profitable growth and healthy inventory.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Pre-Season – build and refine a style-level plan to colour and size based on strategies and opportunities, assign depth by material and ensure that the plan reconciles with topline financial plan developed by the Business Planner
  • Pre-Season – align with and make recommendations to Merchandising regarding seasonal product flow strategies
  • Pre-season – incorporate the estimated impact of seasonal marketing stories, initiatives and messages into plans while considering the retail calendar
  • In-Season – weekly recap and analysis of best and slow sellers versus plan and last year
  • Post-Season – recap the performance of the assortment including average weekly sell-through, colour performance and SKU productivity
  • Post-Season – provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders including Accounts, Partners, Sales, DTC, Merchandising, Retail Brand

Preference will be given to applicants who have:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Fashion, Marketing or related field
  • Proven experience in Buying, Planning, Allocation and/or Vendor Sales for a multi-channel or multi-store retailer or Assortment planning experience with other APP/FW wholesale 
  • A comprehensive understanding of retail maths, coupled with experience in gross margin profitability planning
  • Ability to create monthly reports, style-level sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep
  • Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business
  • Extensive experience in understanding customers, competitors and retail trends
  • Exceptional knowledge of all MS Office applications, especially Excel; experience with planning/software tools and merchandise management systems is preferred
  • The ability to work in a complex matrix environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to influence
