We at NIKE Canada are currently looking for an exceptionally talented Operations Manager to join our Distribution Centre ( DC) team in Scarborough, ON.

This position directly reports to Director, DC Operations and will be responsible for coaching and leading their team of Operation Area Managers & team members.

To provide leadership and direction on business processes that supports the effective and efficient distribution of product through Nike Canada’s Distribution Centre. Accountable for the performance results of the team. Ability to adapt to business plans and priorities by addressing resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plans. Provide industry leading service to Nike customers and cross functional collaboration with internal and external partners by ensuring the successful movement of product within the Distribution Centre.  

Core Accountabilities: 

Business Expertise and Leadership:

  • Direct the development and implementation of the annual operations business plan to align with Country, North American Geography and Global Supply Chain objectives. Applies management expertise to set direction and resolve problems.

  • Continuously evaluate, analyze, design and implement innovative processes and procedures that foster improvement of the operation and service.

  • Select, motivate, develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the leadership team.

  • To lead and drive change in the operation in a way that builds trust, values diversity, recognizes achievements, redirects marginal performance, and provides for a premium employee experience.

 Delivering Solutions:  

  • To actively cultivate relationships within and outside of the organization to exchange ideas, obtain support and drive results.

  • Lead and drive change in the operation in a way that builds trust, values diversity, recognizes achievement responsible for daily planning of orders in accordance with established CRD’s (Customer Request Date’s), priorities and account restrictions.

  • Daily planning must guarantee load times and support the most efficient way of product flow. Provide reliable information (volumes per carrier) so that the required transportation needs can be forecasted and costs minimized.

  • Provide daily and periodical reports and documents such as DIFOT, Outbound Report, Pick pool, 7-day load projections and others as required.


  • Develop and foster relationships cross functionally.

  • Recommend improvements to existing processes and solutions.

  • Accountable for the performance and results of the team within the operation.  


  • Bachelor’s Degree, or College Diploma/ High School Diploma

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ relevant work experience managing small to large teams in a Distribution Centre setting.

  • Experience in Supply Chain Operations required

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team

  • Proficiency in SAP preferred

  • Proficiency in oral/written English. French is an asset but not mandatory

  • Ability to work cross functionally, multi task, problem solve and meet deadlines is critical

  • Shift Flexibility is critical and will be required
