Nike DTC Real Estate Acquisition Director

Lead the NIKE Direct real estate & lease administration teams for Nike’s Greater China geography, serving as the foremost subject matter expert and primary point-of-contact regarding Nike's overall real estate portfolio performance in the region. Create the future through establishing strategies & operational protocols that drive opportunities & efficiencies, evaluating existing real estate systems, processes, org structure; drive industry leading best practices & store productivity

  • Lead strategic guidance and direction of our DTC real estate portfolio as aligned with Nike business strategies, through executive engagement and cross-functional business partnerships

  • Optimize current & future fleet and tenancy/capex assumptions; anticipate challenges & mitigate risk

  • Manage a pipeline of potential real estate opportunities in a digitally led world—identification of opportunities based on marketplace strategy & trends, development of deal flows, site selection, deal economics against market comparables, and internal financial model

  • Build and lead strong relationships with current and potential landlords in the market 

  • Manage business standards and fallback positions for letters of intent, lease agreements, amendments, and renewals

  • Lead balanced approach of real estate market expertise and analytics to drive decision making

  • Provide leadership & process management for NIKE Direct Real Estate Committee, and Corporate & Board of Director real estate approvals

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA, JD, or other applicable advance degree preferred

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in real estate and/or store development experience is required—preferably within a large multinational organization

  • Cross-functional blend of real estate, store development, finance, and/operations experience is strongly preferred—to supply versatile upward leadership bench for Nike, Inc.

  • Proficiency in finance & accounting concepts, financial modeling, and ability to digest consumer-centric analytics

  • Knowledge & understanding of global & regional compliance & regulations regarding retail real estate development & market dynamics

  • Proven leadership-level ability to

    • Operate with a strategic mindset & use analytical thinking to drive business outcomes

    • Build strong partnership across functions & cultures, influencing & driving decisions with senior business leaders, internal/external stakeholders & peers

    • Build, develop & drive results through high-performing teams

    • Develop exec-level communications & presentations; inclusive of strong facilitation skills

    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
