Credit and Risk Supervisor LATAM

The LATAM Credit Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of Representatives and Analysts who are accountable for management of Nike’s asset, focused on management of the credit risk. Managing the team to align their performance with key strategic goals and metrics. Monitor and track processes to ensure activities are performed per compliance policies. You will provide leadership to all team members, as well as provide coaching and guidance for career development. You will promote Nike’s diversity and inclusion initiatives and act to promote the Nike culture.


  • Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders – internal and external

    • Demonstrating leadership in developing and cultivating collaborative partnerships, the building of strong customer relationships, and provision of quality customer service; this may involve occasional travel

    • Partnering with internal LATAM partners, Nike Sales and Operations teams, and Legal team to understand account’s status and strategic importance, and secure against risk

    • Directly influencing: Sales to align on appropriate action plans or terms with customers, customers to understand Nike credit exposure, and Technical Teams/partners during development of tool enhancements.

    • Perform new credit account/existing account credit assessment review on a timely basis to ensure clear understanding of accounts portfolio risk status.

  • Strategy

    • Defining and developing the vision and strategy for Credit and Risk LATAM team

      • Aligning Credit and Risk team’s resources and activities to Nike’s and APLA CF’s strategic initiatives

      • Expected to lead process and/or organizational improvement initiatives

  • Provide key reports and communications

    • Producing key reports and communications to various levels; facilitate meetings and checkpoints with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues

    • Facilitating team’s contribution to commentary for the monthly Executive Scorecard and other key stories, as well as directly assist with preparation of the monthly scorecard

  • Monitor the team’s results against key indicators

    • Tracking and monitoring Credit Limit Reviews (CLRs) for LATAM countries to ensure timely execution

    • Ensuring alignment of CLRs with credit policy

    • Providing guidance and recommendations for improvements to performance as needed

  • Ongoing Data Analysis/Monitoring

    • Analyzing data and information using intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and SAP

    • Be able to provide trainings/learnings

    • Finance Reporting and Analytics dashboards, Scorecards

    • Assessing and monitoring employees’ expected skills/expertise with Excel, SAP, tools, and reports


  •  Degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting, or other related field
  • 2-5 years of work experience in Financial Operations, Billing Operations, Accounting, Supply Chain, or other related field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in prior role(s), including ability to motivate direct reports
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze credit information and financial statements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP preferred

  •  Skillful ability to lead, develop, coach, drive and inspire a team

  • Effective verbal & written communication skills

  • Compelling use of storytelling to influence & engage others

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams and leadership levels

  •  Ability to work independently or as part of a team and make sound decisions

  • Ability to think critically, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment

  • Preferably knowledge of the LATAM/APLA business model, how the countries operate.
