Overview

The Nike Digital Quality team is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and execute quality strategies in support of frequent software releases for consumer-facing mobile apps—including SNKRS, Nike+ Run Club, Nike Training Club, and the Nike app—as well as the nike.com.cn experience. The Lead Quality Engineer, China Digital Studio will work from Nike’s Shanghai-based Greater China campus and will work as a member of both focused, agile teams and large cross-functional project groups. This role will liaison with our WHQ Quality team and ensure our Quality methodologies and consistent practices are adhered to.

Responsibilities

The Lead Quality Engineer, Greater China will enhance and advance Nike quality assurance and quality engineering practices customized for the Greater China business, consumer base, product offerings, payment methods, and associated workflows. Responsibilities will include:

·        Engage Product, Program, Engineering, and Design teams in Greater China to design test strategies, influence unit and integration testing conducted by engineering teams, and compose test plans for automated, manual, and performance tests executed by Quality teams for targeted mobile and web experiences

·        Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures

·        Conduct software inspection, testing, verification, and validation which results in the reduction of defects released into production, improves app store ratings, and enhances consumer experience on nike.com.cn

·        Develop overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives

·        Ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and/or contract

·        Review software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements

·        Support Greater China product launches and triage associated incidents

·        Perform or direct verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability

·        Collaborate with teams in Greater China and WHQ in sprint planning and bug scrubs

·        Facilitate execution and reporting of quality status for Nike Digital Engineering programs to consumers within the Greater China geography

·        Coordinate and lead the 3rd party quality engineering provider based on project demands



Qualifications

·        Technical strength in native mobile and web applications, including both iOS and Android platforms

·        Experience with XCode, Android Studio, and native automation tools including XCTest and Expresso

·        Experience with Web debugging and automation tools, including Selenium

·        Experience with debugging tools including Charles Proxy

·        Experience with API management tools including Postman, PAW, etc.

·        Experience with CI tools including Jenkins, Travis, etc.

·        Familiarity with code version control tools including Git

·        Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)

·        Availability to travel to WHQ (in the United States) and other locations up to 10% of the time

·        Extensive experience in software quality engineering, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment
