Job description:

Join the NIKE team to help revolutionize the manufacturing of the world’s best footwear.  In this role, you will aid in the development, design, and implementation of automation equipment, identify novel solutions to manufacturing problems, and work with internal customers to develop and deliver creative solutions for our manufacturing future.

Responsibilities include control systems design, software architecture and protocol design, component specification, fabrication oversight, robotics/motion/visioning, PLC/HMI and C++/C# programming. Applicant should have a strong knowledge of electro-mechanical aspects of automation machinery to facilitate the interface between mechanical, electrical, and software. Shop floor experience with electrical wiring, pneumatic systems and machine startup also desirable. Applicant should be able to clearly communicate and explain automation and robotics capabilities/limitations in both technical and non-technical manners using engineering concept sketches and other communication methods. Applicant should have experience as a Systems Integrator in the automation industry and a Bachelor\master's Degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.


Requirements:
  • 3-7 years’ experience designing and integrating machine controls for automation.

  • Experience in programing PLCs, servo drives, linear actuators (Mitsubishi GX Works2, IQ Works platform, GX developer, CC-Link).

  • Experience in robot programming (Denso/Epson/ABB).

  • Experience with robot & vision integration.

  • Experience developing machine vision applications using Cognex VisionPro, Matrox imaging libraries, C++/C#.

  • Experience with robot offline programing and simulation software is a plus (WinCaps, RobotStudio).

  • Experience generating electrical schematics and BOM’s in compliance with applicable codes using Auto Cad Electrical or ePlan.

  • Experience with machine user interface programming (preferably using Mitsubishi GT Works3).

  • Experience with automation machine systems design and management.

  • Demonstrated skills at leading teams of highly qualified and specialized individuals with diverse expertise.

  • Hands on experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across cultures.

  • Proficient problem solver with an innate ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects at one time and prioritize work according to potential impact.

  • Effective project and resource management experience with a proactive approach to team specific issues.

  • Korean & English proficiency.
