Marketplace Operations Analyst

We at NIKE Canada are currently looking for an exceptionally talented Marketplace Operations Analyst to join our MPO/Account management service team at our Distribution Centre in Scarborough, ON.

Data driven insights are a competitive advantage for Nike and an essential part of the service we provide to our consumers. Creating these insights requires a capability to source, organize and present data into meaningful stories that resonates with the business strategy of many stakeholders.


As Marketplace Operations (MPO) Analyst for Nike Canada, you will work in a fast-paced environment in close partnership with Sales, Operations and Planning professionals to leverage your end to end business understanding and analytical skills to delve into a rich repository of dynamic data to tell key, compelling stories impacting our wholesale and retail business partners. You will enable solutions that will create and leverage information visibility to take our supply chain and order book performance to the next level and ensure faster decision making through improved information visibility, supporting senior leaders in making business decisions required to meet established goals.


Curiosity about the marketplace, product and brand stories will be key, in addition to a strong process improvement mindset. Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work flexible hours is a must



  • Understand, analyze, demonstrate expertise in account management processes. Understand order life cycle and flow across the Supply Chain including exceptions that hinder seamless delivery to Nike’s customers; Deliver detailed and high-level information based on system/data analysis

  • Develop and own a forward looking, actionable view of the analytical needs for the MPO team in close alignment with Global and North America initiatives

  • Develop and maintain business KPI’s and analyze data; present findings and recommendations to drive key business decisions. Support the business using statistical methods for process and performance assessment

  • Work closely with network of analysts in MPO as well as internal and external technology/ reporting partners to ensure robust, reliable solutions are in place

  • Leverage Marketplace insights and identify trends to proactively predict supply/ demand and inventory challenges, and provide fact-based recommendations to enable decision making

  • Own delivery precision and shipments to goal tracking by customer, category, and/or key initiatives

  • Lead/drive and influence problem solving activities (data gathering, root cause analysis and potential solutions)

  • Be a coach to your extended team in elevating their analytical skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field

  • 1-3 years of progressive and relevant business experience. This can include business or supply chain analytics, preferably within a consumer goods environment

  • Strong project management, problem structuring, and strategic problem-solving skills for fact-based story telling

  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Experience managing complex cross-functional stakeholder engagements

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel & Access and experience in SAP and COGNOS

  • Proficiency in Analytics tools like Tableau, Alteryx, VB, SQL preferred

  • Self-starter, eager to learn, result-oriented and creative strategic thinker
