A fantastic opportunity currently exists within Hurley Australia for a Marketing Assistant to join the team; based in Manly, this is a full time permanent position reporting to the National Marketing Manager. The mission of the Marketing Assistant is to coordinate, design and execute regional marketing plans, events and strategies while partnering with the Sales Force to deliver the Hurley Brand message in a clear and timely manner, as it relates to the seasons and calendar of events Hurley have as a brand in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Coordinating Brand creative from the global team and locally, ensuring clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring Retail and Brand stories are launched successfully and on time across all retail partners, social media and traditional media channels
  • Design and preparation of Go-To-Market Sales meetings and sales meeting presentations
  • Managing all creative assets provided by Hurley HQ, and working with the National Marketing Manager on the use and rollout of creative
  • Assist in the coordination of seasonal photo shoots, using graphic design skills to assist with Hurley campaigns
  • Providing Hurley Retail partners with digital imagery on a monthly basis or as new imagery comes to hand
  • Working with media partners to align and maximise athlete and product coverage
  • Assist with all Hurley events and activations, including logistics, design and product ordering
  • Assist Marketing team with all POS elements, windows and Hurley space/concept shops to ensure consistency with seasonal corporate branding or imagery

Preference will be given to applicants who have:

  • Experience in Design, Brand and Retail Marketing within the Fashion/Apparel industry
  • Graphic Design experience is essential
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS
  • A high level of creative and proactive thinking, coupled with the ability to follow process and adhere to strict guidelines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
  • Experience within the Action Sport industry is highly desirable
