HR Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will work as part of an integrated team to drive and define solutions to business issues across HR operational teams through utilization of HR systems and tools. This position applies analytical and planning skills to gather and analyze information for HR business processes, make recommendations, support a variety of HR-related initiatives and projects to improve the quality, compliance and richness of HR operational services.

Work is performed independently under limited supervision. This person is frequently required to work with confidence under deadlines in an environment where they may be required to stand firm to the global initiatives while partnering with regional and local teams. 

This role is based in Singapore and will be part of the Asia Pacific HR Shared Services team, reporting to the HR Governance Quality & Analysis Manager - Asia Pacific & Greater China.


  • Execute and support planned programs. This includes reviewing, coordinating, partnering and liaising across functional teams to identify cause and solution.
  • Analyze, engage and support processes/systems review efforts across functional teams to enhance and improve quality and compliance of HR operational services
  • Facilitate discussions on complex topics, collaborate and drive towards solutions
  • Partner with functional leaders/teams to deliver new programs and requirements across HR operations
  • Elicit and capture requirements from HR business stakeholders
  • Create user stories that support the requirements gathered
  • Evaluate and consult with business partners on potential solution options
  • Partner with technical teams to design the solutions
  • Produce timely and high-quality requirements-related work products, including business requirements, process design and other associated project documentation
  • Translate technical issues into business impacts to support the business decision making process
  • Create and facilitate User Acceptance Testing plan and execution
  • Drive timely and quality delivery of defined scope
  • Communicate key decisions and corresponding impacts across teams to ensure integrated plans and solutions are delivered
  • Work with Transition Management team to quantify and prepare for project impacts and transition
  • Complete knowledge transfer to production support teams
  • Ensure consistent BA practice across the HR portfolio
  • Involve and participate in regional or global HR related projects and initiatives as required

Requirements for this position include - 
  • At minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Has detailed knowledge of HR processes (payroll, workforce administration, HR systems etc) or experience in HR operations
  • UAT testing experience
  • Demonstrated strong analytical capacity and ability to work independently
  • A team player who has proven ability to influence others to desired outcomes 
  • Self-starter with experience driving results
  • Comfortable in highly dynamic and frequently ambiguous environment
  • Customer oriented and focus; meticulous and well organized
  • Effective facilitation and communication skills across all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in Sharepoint, Microsoft Office suite of tools (Visio, Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.)  
  • Experience in SAP HR/Successfactors is preferred
  • Regional exposure in a multinational or shared service environment is a plus
