As our Director of Brand Protection for the Asia-Pacific region, you will direct NIKE, Inc.’s Brand Protection efforts in the region, focused on disrupting the counterfeit supply chain and removing counterfeits from the market.  You will lead a team of over a dozen professionals stationed across 8 countries, and will manage a significant budget and a network of investigators and law firms.

You will develop strong working relationships with customs and other law enforcement agencies in the region, directly and by supporting in-country Brand Protection managers.  You will direct large multinational investigations into the sourcing, distribution and sale of counterfeit products, within your region and across the globe.

You will support administrative, civil or criminal enforcement through procurement and maintenance of admissible evidence, product authentication, and other written and oral testimony.  You will manage enforcement litigation in the region.  You will drive (directly and through the team) enforcement efforts against counterfeit e-commerce sites and auctions, coordinated under the direction of Nike’s Director, Brand Protection – Digital.

You will work closely with commercial and sourcing leadership in the region to focus the team’s efforts where they will deliver the greatest impact.

You will ensure the Brand Protection team, and our external vendors, act with integrity and in compliance with Nike’s “Inside the Lines” policy and applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws.

And, as a member of the Global BP leadership team, you will help to develop our global strategy and help your team bring that strategy to life in your region.

Comprehensive understanding of the tools available to battle counterfeits and (where available) grey market goods, including the investigative process, criminal, administrative, and civil proceedings

Command of relevant IP laws, regulations and procedures

Demonstrated ability to develop strong and effective working relationships with key allies in customs, law enforcement and with other brand owners

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, drive and inspire a large and diverse team of professionals

Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Understanding of the difference between information and intelligence, and an ability to turn one into the other

Ability to detect vendor fraud, corruption and other abnormalities

Willingness to travel (25%+)
