Allocator, Nike Factory Store (NFS)

Job Summary   

Develop & execute allocation planning processes and strategies to achieve optimal individual store assortments, style color counts, and size productivity.   Build and execute tactical Sales & Margin, Productivity store assortment plans that tie to financial targets and liquidation targets. Administer and maintain processes for assorting to store clusters and individual stores.

  • Right product in right locations & assortment productivity 
  • Develop processes for creating door clusters and individual store assortments 
  • Establish assortment flow plan by door clusters
  • Establish Style/Sku count plans for door clusters
  • Sizing analysis and optimization
  • Ensure Key styles are properly supported in each door with right inventory to drive sales
  • Optimize product opportunities for business growth. 
  • Influence cross-functional peers across NFS as needed to meet stores needs
  • Monitor Supply Chain performance in season to identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop new tools and process to achieve “best practices” of allocation
Requirements for this position include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Fashion, Marketing or a related field
  • 3 years’ experience in Buying, Planning, Allocation and/or Vendor Sales for a multi-channel, multi-store retailer or Assortment Planning experience with other apparel / footwear wholesale organization
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math
  • Experience in gross margin profitability planning
  • Ability to create monthly reports, style-level sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others
  • Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred
  • Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions
  • Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners
