GREATER CHINA CATEGORY MARKETPLACE SENIOR MANAGER – BASKETBALL

As the NBA Greater China Integrated Marketplace Senior Manager, you will drive an integrated NBA commercial strategy across both owned retail and wholesale to deliver premium consumer experiences and customer profitability. You’ll align Global NBA priorities to Greater China priorities. You’ll provide integrated marketplace leadership including distribution planning (leading with digital), driving a holistic category distribution strategy and ensuring profitability and sustainable growth. You’ll drive the NBA offense through consumer led concepts across owned retail (e.g., Nike.com), strategic wholesale accounts, and official NBA accounts. You’ll connect the NBA Greater China offense to marketplace execution leveraging the Category Game Plan (CGP) and Go to Market (GTM) process map and engagement. You’ll lead seasonal strategy and execution through seasonal targets, ensuring commercial readiness, door mapping, and brand/RBP alignment. You will execute NBA consumer right assortments in all channels of the GC marketplace, connecting Nike Basketball and Jordan head to toe offerings integrated into the overall NBA strategy. You’ll own seasonal hindsighting/foresighting for GC NBA in partnership with sales planning. You will lead a team of NBA sales reps and NBA sales enabling functions.
•Develop NBA GC Commerce Plan and anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product, or service improvements.
•Lead projects or program with significant risk and complexity to achieve milestones and objectives; develops the strategy for project execution across Greater China.
•Acts as the NBA GC distribution expert and ensures distribution plans using digital first and concept led as key framework in key city and hot spot locations to maximize category opportunities.
•Drive digital offense strategy, with online retail representing >70% of the business
•Execute the NBA strategies and provide expertise and direction to the team on the use of selling tools and all relevant materials needed to enable a successful seasonal sell-in.
•Ensure SIM, GTM and Account meetings are prepared and executed at the highest level as planned and envisioned by the category and teams.
•Provide clear direction to the sales teams on the expectation and placement of the directed assortment in the marketplace
•Track and monitor assortment placement with consumer led concepts, marketplace category in-store execution and category sell-thru.
•Work cross functionally with counterparts in account teams, brand, merchants, and retail teams to ensure alignment on distribution/commercial priorities and seasonal readiness at the key game plan check points.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing or a related field
•5+ years’ experience in Sales, Marketplace Management, Planning and/or Vendor Sales for a multi-store retailer or wholesaler with other apparel / footwear wholesale organization; 2 years’ additional experience in lieu of a degree
•Comprehensive understanding of retail math
•Strong understanding of the market, customers, and retail trends
•Expertise in the Licensed industry
•Exceptional ability to use financial data to make decisions and maximize account profitability
•Ability to travel 30%
•Proven leadership experience
